Mei was born in East London and now lives Twickenham with her ex-BCS exec husband.

Her journey to West London began when she moved to Wales for her first degree and later to Scotland. After graduation Mei returned to London via Japan and Hong Kong.

Mei has worked for a number of Chinese media organisations and is known as a workaholic but occasionally finds time to satisfy her fondness for good food and travel.

Mei is famed in BCS circles for watching whole seasons of Hong Kong soap dramas without requiring any sleep in between whatsoever
